Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

Our dress code is cocktail/semi-formal attire. This means no jeans or athleisure, but also no ballgowns or tuxedos. Since our venue is at the top of a mountain, please expect some rocky and gravel paths. You may also want to walk across the suspension bridge or along the trails leading to some beautiful viewpoints. Trails are mostly flat but unpaved. Please choose appropriate footwear.

Please avoid wearing solid white or solid red attire. The bridal party will be wearing sage green.

What's the weather like in Squamish?

The weather in Squamish, especially at the top of the mountain, is incredibly difficult to predict. Please check the weather forecast 2-3 days before our wedding. Check the current conditions

What happens if it rains?

Our wedding will still proceed as normal under a sheltered area at the top of the Gondola. Please dress warmly and be mindful that temperatures at the top of the mountain are often lower than in the city.

Do I need to buy a ticket?

Please DO NOT purchase any tickets! Your Gondola tickets have already been paid for and you can pick up the ticket on our wedding day at Guest Services once you arrive. The staff will match your name to our guest list based on your RSVP.

Do I need to pay for parking?

The Sea to Sky Gondola has recently implemented a paid parking system. However, wedding guests will receive a complimentary parking pass. The pass will be included with your Gondola ticket when you pick it up at Guest Services and needs to be displayed on your dashboard.

When should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin at 3PM sharp. We recommend arriving at the Sea to Sky Gondola by 2PM to allow time for parking, picking up your Gondola ticket, and taking the Gondola up to the ceremony site. Please note that traffic on the Sea to Sky highway can be very busy on sunny weekends and parking at the Gondola can be slow due to the high volume of visitors.

Can I bring a guest?

If you have RSVP'd with a plus one, they will be included on our guest list. Anyone not on the guest list will not be assigned a Gondola ticket and will not be allowed into our private reception space due to capacity restrictions. However, the Sea to Sky Gondola will still be open to the public.

What meals will be served?

We will be starting with appetizers during cocktail hour after the ceremony at 4PM. Therefore, we recommend you eat lunch before arriving or you can purchase snacks from the cafeteria at the top of the Gondola. Family-style dinner will be served at 6PM, followed by cake and desserts.

What if I don't have a car?

We are providing a shuttle service from downtown Vancouver for any guests that have requested it in their RSVP. If you are on the shuttle list, please be at the pick-up location at the designated time based on the email you received.

Do you have a registry?

We will be accepting monetary gifts in the form of 红包 (red envelopes) at the wedding, as customary in Chinese culture. If you prefer to go paperless, you can e-Transfer ($CAD) to hello@calvinandlucy.ca, or use Venmo ($USD).

If you do not wish to participate, we encourage you to gift us a unique date night experience! For example, a gift card to a restaurant, a spa experience, or a voucher for your favourite activity near Vancouver.
